Facts About Wingfest

Who:

25-30 Tri-State restaurants and backyard chefs will compete for the coveted

title of “The Tri-States Best Wings.” A judging panel of local celebrities and

leaders will taste and vote on each of the chicken wing submissions.

The festive atmosphere will include public tasting of the wings, live music,

and a free corn boil. There will also be free inflatable rides for the kids.

Last year’s event attracted an estimated 3000 people. All of the event’s

proceeds benefit the East Dubuque Warrior Booster Club.

A special fundraiser to benefit the East Dubuque Warrior Booster Club

Downtown East Dubuque, Illinois

Why:

Because Tri-Staters love their chicken wings, and festivals,

and also because the Warrior Booster Club is something for this

community to flap it’s wings about!

Proceeds Benefit:

In the past 3 years some of the Booster Club’s accomplishments include:

*Retired a $90,000 debt incurred during the construction of the football concession stand.

*Donated over $30,000 to our High School athletic department for new uniforms.

*We have awarded $6,000 in academic grants to six graduating seniors

*We donate $200 a year to every activity account, including Dance and Academic Bowl.

*We fund all of the equipment and uniform needs for the Junior High athletic program.

*Started Phase II of the Big Blue Project by relocating and upgrading the softball field at

the Elementary School, and installing new lights at the football field.
